Falmouth School Celebrates Outstanding Year 11 Exam Results

Falmouth School is immensely proud to announce the remarkable achievements of our Year 11 students. Today is a day of celebration, recognising the hard work, dedication, and perseverance each student has displayed throughout their academic journey. Our students have excelled in both GCSE and vocational qualifications, reflecting their unwavering commitment to learning. These accomplishments are moments to be cherished with families, as students revel in their well-deserved success.

Key Highlights:

  • 25.8% of all Level 2 qualifications were attained at Grades 9-7.
  • 51.8% of students achieved Grade 5 or higher in both English and Maths.
  • 62.7% of students achieved five standard GCSE passes (Grade 4 or above), exceeding the national average.
  • 47.6% of students secured five strong passes (Grade 5 or above), also above the national average.
  • Falmouth School students surpassed the national average in every standard national measure related to attainment.

Notable Student Achievements:

  • Ben: Achieved seven Grade 9s in Science, English Language, French, History, Maths, and Spanish, along with a Distinction* in Sport and a Grade 8 in English Literature.
  • Megan: Celebrated five Grade 9s in Art, Chemistry, Maths, English Literature, and History; four Grade 8s in Biology, English Language, Physics, and Spanish; and a Grade 7 in Additional Maths.
  • Toby: Earned three Grade 9s in Science and Maths; two Distinction* grades in BTEC Engineering and Sport; Grade 8s in English Language and English Literature; and Grade 7s in Art and Geography.
  • Iona: Accomplished two Grade 9s in Geography and History, a Distinction* in Sport, and five Grade 8s in Art, Science, English Language and Literature, with a Grade 6 in Maths.
