Three Culinary Hubs
Explore our culinary offerings through three convenient outlets on campus. The main canteen, located just outside the hall, serves hot and cold food. For smaller snacks and cold delights, visit the Green Room outlet. The Sixth Form common room boasts a dedicated outlet, offering a variety of food, including hot barista drinks. Our partnership with Chartwells ensures a wide array of options that cater to diverse dietary requirements.
Effortless Transactions with Cashless Catering
To enhance convenience, we've implemented a secure cashless catering system utilizing biometric fingerprint scans. This system involves a low-resolution fingerprint scan, with data stored as an encrypted algorithm in number format. Once an account is created, students can effortlessly access the canteen facilities using their scanned print, ensuring a seamless and secure experience. The average spend per day ranges from £2.50 to £4, with a daily spend limit set at £6 on all accounts.
Easy Account Top-Up Options
Adding credit to your child's account is a breeze:
- Payment via ParentPay, our online payment facility.
- Cash credited through the revalue machine.
- Obtain Paypoint cards to conveniently top up accounts; contact the school finance department for details.
Biometric Consent and Alternative Options
Written parental consent is crucial for biometric data usage. Parents can provide consent using the biometric consent form available on this page or on our Forms page elsewhere in the Parent Hub. Students opting out of the fingerprint recognition system can top up their accounts using the methods mentioned above. When making purchases, these students will be provided with a PIN code, ensuring secure transactions.

Parent Pay enables parents to review their child's meal choices throughout the day, ensuring transparency and involvement in their dietary decisions.
Free School Meals Information
For students entitled to free school meals, accounts will be credited accordingly. Parents are reminded to apply for or renew entitlement through the Local Authority before their child starts at Falmouth School. Application details are available at www.cornwall.gov.uk/schoolmeals.
All free meal entitlements are entered into the system before lunchtime on the 'Live' day, ensuring automatic allocation by our Cashless Catering System. Pupils with Free Meal Entitlements remain anonymous, and any unused daily allocation does not carry over to the next day.
